I received my B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Brazil, in 2015, and my M.Sc. degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, in 2017. In the same year, I started my PhD course at UFRGS, in the same research group that I was a member during my Master course, Φ-Robotics Resarch Group. Over all these years, robotics was always my main research interest. As an undergraduate student, I was a member of a student group that developed a hybrid architecture for mobile robots built using kit Lego Mindstorms. A few years later, in my master course, I focused on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), proposing a visual global localisation system using satellite images. Nowadays, I am dealing with another robotic problem, called Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM), more specifically how to build semantic maps for long period robotic tasks. My current research interests are Localisation, SLAM, Semantic SLAM and Integrated Exploration.
